Playing at Harmony & Halabuji (grandma & granpa)
Every time we drop off Dylan at my parents house so we can have some alone time, Dylan returns to us all dirty! He loves to play in the yard while my dad works on his yard and he plays with water, dirt and rocks. Dylan loves it!

Happy 1st Birthday Dylan!
Dylan's 1st birthday party, "DOHL" was amazing!! It took a couple of months to plan his birthday and I am very happy it turned out to be the most amazing party I've ever planned. Dohl is korean 1st birthday. In Korea, a person's very 1st birthday is considered the most important event in your life.

Dylan with grandma.. Looks so happy!

Dylan with Emo.(prounced ee-moh)

Anita, the balloon maker & face painter was awesome! She made Dylan a crown.

Even the adults loved it! Jen and Thanh being silly!

Karen, Joe's sister and I made these cupcakes the night before.. even the little fondant teddy bears! Notice the three bears as the cake topper above. Mama bear, Papa bear and baby bear!

Toys and candies for little guests.

The food was catered by LA Catering, a korean catering company. The guests loved them! So sad that I barely got to eat because i was so busy!

Dylan grabbed the stethoscope! The Dol-Ja-Bi is the highlight of the 1st birthday parties. Parents lay out items on the table, and depending on what the child picks, the future of the child is predicted. We put golf ball(athlete), stethoscope(doctor), money, gavel(lawyer), mouse(IT Specialist) and a pencil(scholar). First, Dylan picked the golf ball but everyone got so excited started screaming and clapping that he got nervous and moved onto grab the stethoscope.

This is the Doljabi board i placed on the picture table. Each guest was given a raffle ticket with number and guessed which item Dylan will pick and placed their numbers in a jar accordingly. I picked out the numbers from the correct jar and gave out prizes. So much fun!

All the decor..
The Babee Studio where Dylan took his 100th day picture and 1st birthday picture made him a collage and I put it up on the easel.

The head table. My auntie's friend made the flower arrangements herself!so lovely.

Rice cake. We packed the ricecake for guests to take back home as favors.

Yes...a beer at a kid's birthday party. It isn't a party without alcohol in our family! haha

Picture collage.

My dad's CPA, Mr. Lee's two boys. They were so cute and LOVED the candies!

"The Adults" Joe's SD family. Love them!

Matt & Ai's baby boy Isamu. He is a cutie even with a booboo. =)

Isamu & dylan playing together.

Jina, her mother in law and Eugene. Eugene is only a month older than Dylan!

My aunt(in the middle)and her friends.

Dylan and Ethan. Ethan is 2 months older than Dylan!

Joe's cousin Teresa and her daughter Chloe. Chloe is her 4th baby after a set of twins and another boy! She truly is a super woman.
