Watching Dylan hit all the milestones
Dylan is now 6 and 1/2 month old. He is growing up so fast before my eyes. He does new things every week and it has been such a joy to watch him grow and learn. He can do the following- he can go from tummy position to sitting position and stay seated without support and stands up holding on to me or things like a couch and crib railing, crawl on fours. He can pick up little objects or plays with buttons on my clothes. Not only is he hitting his milestones physically but socially and mentally- I actually noticed this when he was 5 month old, he started getting mad and object when I took his toys away when he was playing. Dylan LOVES to play. I mean, he LOVES to play more than anything- He'd rather play than eat or sleep. One day he crawled over to a TV stand and knocked over all the dvds out of the shelve so I started putting pillows to cover up the tv stand. It wasn't until last week when he realized that the dvds are behind the pillow and knocked over the pillow to get to the dvds. This boy needs supervision at ALL times! OH, and he can say "Umma" and "Appa". He usually calls me when he is awake from a nap and wants to be held. Dylan is falling madly in LOVE with me. He looks for me when i am not in a room and looks so delighted to see me when I return. I am so proud of Dylan for just for being himself. I just wish he drinks more milk!

What I've been cooking!
Since I hate being out in cold, I stay inside most of the time except for occasional afternoon strolls with Dylan or when we meet Joe for lunch. More time at home equals more cooking. My recipe book has expanded in broader range while staying in Little Rock. I guess I could even say my cooking has become even tastier followed by lots of practice. haha. . Here are some food I have made this past month

Southern Fried chicken strips- recipe courtesy of Paula Dean. (with the leftover chicken, I made Buffalo Chicken wrap. Yum)

On the way to the church
Even though it was very cold out, we decided to head to church for mass. Dylan looked so cute all bundled up.
Aww... his nose is runny from the cold weather.

non-toy Toys!
This is Dylan on the bouncer. He can entertain himself on this bouncer up to 15 minutes. After around 15 minutes, he gets bored and wants to get out. Dylan has lots of toys to play with because he gets bored of them really quickly, BUT he never gets bored of a WATER BOTTLE! When he doesn't want to drink his milk, I distract him with a water bottle and he finishes his milk!
Ice Storm in Little Rock
Little Rock has all kinds of weather. One day it's sunny, one day it's hot and one day it's freezing cold. Our apartment is right across from a church and this is a view from our bedroom. It looks like a snow pile but it's actually ice on the ground. when you look up close it looks like sugars on the ground.
Dylan's play area
Dylan likes to crawl around explore. Since I can't keep an eye on him 24/7, we made him a little play area where he can play in our apartment in Little Rock. He amazes and amuse me everyday by doing new things.
Here is picture of Dylan sitting up and playing.

Happy New Year!
This is the first blog entry of the year! Dylan has grown so much! Dylan is already six months old and I can't believe how time flies.. He is already crawling and he is flexible like a gymnast. He is 16 pounds, 26.5 inches. I started feeding him solids and he loves his vegetables! So far, he has tried broccoli, zucchini, sweet potato and apple. He loves his broccoli and zucchini by itself but doesn't like sweet potato and apple! I was very excited to make him his own baby food. Since Dylan is on the skinny side of the weight scale, I mix the pureed vegetables with white rice which has a lot of calories and fat. His peds. said i can try him giving him avocados to fatten him up.
